TSP Smart Spaces Wins Two Gold Awards at the 2025 PRO New England Awards

TSP Smart Spaces is honored to announce that we received two Gold Awards at the 2025 PRO New England Awards, held June 4, 2025. Recognized by one of the region’s most respected organizations for the residential design and construction industry, these awards celebrate excellence in design, craftsmanship, and innovation across New England and beyond.
This year, TSP Smart Spaces was awarded Gold in both the Smart Home Automation and Commercial Specialty Elements categories in recognition of our team’s commitment to delivering thoughtfully integrated technology that enhances architecture, design, and everyday experience.
Gold Award: Smart Home Automation
A Creative Loft in Boston’s SoWa Neighborhood
Our Gold-winning residential project centered on a 1,700-square-foot creative loft in Boston’s SoWa district, designed around the concept of approachable luxury. The homeowners (interior designers themselves) envisioned a space inspired by a “black Japanese forest,” blending Japanese restraint, Scandinavian warmth, and Italian refinement.
Our role was to ensure the technology supported that narrative quietly and intentionally.
At the heart of the project was a fully integrated Lutron HomeWorks and Ketra lighting system, allowing precise control over intensity, color temperature, and circadian rhythm. In spaces with limited natural light, Ketra fixtures recreate the progression of daylight, ensuring continuity and comfort throughout the home.
This lighting system works seamlessly alongside Josh.ai voice control, enabling intuitive, privacy-focused interaction with lighting, shading, and audio systems. Motorized window treatments, including blackout shades and floor-to-ceiling drapery, provide both functional light control and architectural presence, complementing the lighting system’s dynamic capabilities.
Audio and visual elements were designed to be entirely unobtrusive. Sonance invisible speakers, integrated directly into walls and ceilings, deliver immersive sound while preserving the home’s minimalist aesthetic. The result is a system that disappears into the architecture, enhancing the space without competing with it.
The project exemplifies how technology can elevate design while remaining invisible, supporting wellness, atmosphere, and everyday living without ever drawing attention to itself.
Gold Award: Commercial Specialty Elements
Klocke Estate, Hudson Valley, New York
Our second Gold Award recognized our work at Klocke Estate, a soil-to-glass brandy distillery in New York’s Hudson Valley. Designed by internationally acclaimed designers, the estate includes a distillery, restaurant, bar, and lounges overlooking sweeping vineyard and mountain views.
Our integration focused on enhancing the guest experience through lighting, shading, and audio systems that aligned with the estate’s architectural elegance.
Using Lutron HomeWorks, we unified a diverse and complex lighting scheme into a single, cohesive control system. This allowed staff to adjust ambiance throughout the day and evening, supporting everything from daytime dining to intimate evening service.
Within the distillery itself, Ketra lighting was used to illuminate rare Cognac-region stills, treating them as both functional equipment and visual centerpieces. The lighting highlights material detail and craftsmanship, reinforcing the estate’s identity and storytelling.
Managing natural light was equally critical. Every window throughout the estate was equipped with Lutron Sivoia motorized shades, programmed to respond dynamically to the sun’s position. As sunset approaches, shades automatically adjust to eliminate glare while preserving views of the surrounding landscape ensuring guest comfort without manual intervention.
Audio was delivered through Sonance invisible speakers, preserving the visual integrity of the interior while providing consistent, high-quality sound throughout the property.
The result is a seamless integration of technology that supports hospitality, atmosphere, and operational efficiency, all without disrupting the estate’s carefully crafted design narrative.
Recognition of Our Approach
These awards reflect a core principle that guides every project at TSP Smart Spaces: technology should elevate a space, not dominate it.
Whether in a private residence or a commercial hospitality environment, our focus remains the same: creating intuitive, reliable systems that enhance architecture, support design intent, and improve everyday experience.
We are deeply grateful to our clients, design partners, and collaborators for their trust, and to PRO New England for recognizing our work. These honors reinforce our commitment to thoughtful integration and innovation as we continue to bring smart technology to exceptional spaces throughout New England and beyond.
