Home Automation Technician

    TSP Smart Spaces (“TSP”) is seeking a full-time Home Automation Technician to assist in smart home and AV installations in our client’s businesses and homes in and around the Boston and New England area.

  • Responsibilities

    As a Home Automation Technician, you will assist Lead Technicians and Project Managers, or work independently, to complete installation of distributed audio systems, AV equipment, smart home control, and shading and lighting systems in residential and commercial environments in and around Boston.

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Experience in the home automation field preferred
    • Experience with Lutron and either Savant, Control4, or Crestron control systems preferred
    • On-site, full AV installation experience
    • Interest in the new generation of smart home systems, including configuration of software or cloud-based services
    • Proficiency installing AV and technology related equipment, including AV racks at client sites
    • Experience with pre-wiring for audio and video
    • Proficiency with HDMI, CAT5, CAT6, and Speaker Wire Termination and Management
    • Experience with troubleshooting AV systems
    • Proficiency with reading plans and executing based on drawings
    • Proficiency with both Mac and PC Operating Systems
    • Proficiency troubleshooting basic computer issues
    • Knowledge of networking basics
    • Experience setting up router and WiFi systems
    • Experience using power tools
    • Experience working on active construction sites
    • Flexible with occasional travel
    • A great attitude and the ability to work independently and as a team player

Accounting Manager

    Hybrid remote role, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Cambridge, MA

    TSP is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join the TSP team in Cambridge, MA.  Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for executing the day-to-day operational and financial accounting activities, and to deliver the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting results of the company to Senior Management. The Accounting Manager must have a start-up mentality, be open to change and have the curiosity and drive to adopt changing processes, procedures and technology tools as the company grows.

  • Responsibilities

    • Plans, coordinates and executes on all general accounting and day-to-day finance operations for the company.
    • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
    • Prepares tax-based monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
    • Publishes timely monthly financial statements and closes month-end.
    • Maintains the general ledger.
    • Prepares and manages all client billing across multiple platforms.
    • Verifies, codes, and completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures expenditures are allocated to the appropriate accounts.
    • Communicates with staff and vendors regarding payment inquiries in a timely manner to resolve related issues/disputes.
    • Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses bank inquires.
    • Manages accounts receivable collections.
    • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
    • Assists Director of Finance with the development of best practices accounting policies and procedures and recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
    • Recommends financial strategies, objectives, and policies to management.
    • Works with the Director of Finance in developing and monitoring business performance metrics and advises on cost containment strategies.
    • Coordinates with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of related accounting and/or finance experience required.
    • Must have experience working with QuickBooks Online, Google Drive, Word, and Excel
    • Working knowledge of ConnectWise, D-Tools and payment processing tools such as Bill.com or Slack.com is a plus
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion to learn and grow.
    • Must be flexible and willing to adapt and learn next technologies
    • Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.
    • Good humor in adopting changing tools and procedures.
